ION Paint Protection Film Limited Warranty Policy

This Limited Warranty (“Warranty”) is issued by ION by LabCoat (“ION,” “LabCoat,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and applies only to genuine ION Paint Protection Film products installed in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and the terms outlined below.

1. No Returns Policy

All LabCoat and ION products are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Due to the nature of professional-grade automotive protection products, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for any reason, including but not limited to incorrect ordering, unused material, surplus product, or dissatisfaction.

Purchase and installation of ION Paint Protection Film constitutes acceptance of this no-returns policy.

2. Warranty Registration Requirement

To be eligible for warranty coverage, the vehicle must be registered within thirty (30) days of installation.

Failure to register the installation within this timeframe will result in the automatic voiding of this Warranty, with no exceptions.

3. Warranty Coverage Overview

ION Paint Protection Film products are warranted to be free from manufacturer defects including:

• Cracking
• Delamination
• Discoloration (yellowing)

when properly stored, handled, installed, maintained, and used under normal operating conditions.

Warranty coverage varies by product type and is subject to all terms, limitations, and exclusions outlined in this policy.

4. Clear Paint Protection Film — 10-Year Limited Warranty

ION Clear Paint Protection Film is covered by a Ten (10) Year Limited Warranty from the date of purchase, provided all eligibility requirements are met.

Covered Defects:

• Manufacturer defects in materials
• Cracking caused by material failure
• Delamination due to adhesive or film failure
• Discoloration or yellowing resulting from material defect

5. Colored Paint Protection Film — 7-Year Limited Warranty

ION Colored Paint Protection Film is covered by a Seven (7) Year Limited Warranty from the date of purchase, subject to all exclusions and limitations herein.

Covered Defects:

• Manufacturer defects in materials
• Cracking
• Delamination
• Discoloration caused by material defect

6. Extended Warranty Eligibility for Colored PPF

Certain ION Colored Paint Protection Film products may be eligible for an Extended Warranty beyond the standard seven (7) year term only if:

1. The film is installed by a Certified and Verified ION Installation Facility
2. The film is properly cared for and maintained according to LabCoat/ION aftercare guidelines
3. Required documentation and proof of maintenance are provided upon request

Extended warranty approval is not automatic, not guaranteed, and is granted solely at the discretion of LabCoat/ION.

7. Installer Verification & Workmanship Disclaimer

This Warranty is void if ION Paint Protection Film is installed by a non-verified installation facility.

This Warranty:

• Does not cover workmanship
• Does not cover improper installation
• Does not cover installation errors

Any determination regarding installation quality, improper installation, or workmanship defects may be made at the sole discretion of LabCoat or an authorized LabCoat/ION representative.

Any workmanship warranty, if offered, is the sole responsibility of the installing facility.

8. Aftercare & Maintenance Requirements

This Warranty may be voided due to, but not limited to:

• Improper aftercare
• Lack of routine cleaning
• Use of non-approved or harsh cleaning agents or chemicals
• Improper washing techniques
• Neglect or misuse of the product

Proper maintenance is required to maintain warranty eligibility.

9. Approved Substrates & Vehicle Use

ION Paint Protection Film is warrantied on OEM automotive clear-coat surfaces only and for legal road-use vehicles only.

Warranty coverage is automatically void if the film is installed on:

• Repainted surfaces
• Primer
• Polyurethane coatings
• Vinyl wraps or overlays
• Non-approved substrates

Additionally, installation on non-painted surfaces is not covered, including but not limited to:

• Carbon fiber
• Chrome
• Fiberglass
• Headlights
• Taillights

10. Exclusions — What This Warranty Does NOT Cover

This Warranty does not cover damage caused by:

• Normal wear and tear
• Road debris or rock chips
• Scratches, abrasions, or punctures
• Severe weather events
• Chemical stains or chemical corrosion
• Environmental impacts
• Improper use or misuse
• Acts of God
• Vehicle accidents, collisions, or vandalism

ION Paint Protection Film is designed to protect your vehicle’s paint but is not invincible.

11. No Responsibility for Surface Repair

ION by LabCoat assumes no responsibility for repainting, repairing, refinishing, or restoring any surface for any reason.

This includes, but is not limited to, damage discovered during removal, replacement, or inspection of the film.

12. Non-Transferability

This Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

Warranty coverage terminates immediately upon sale, transfer, or change of ownership of the vehicle.

13. Limitation of Remedy and Liability

If a valid manufacturer defect is confirmed, LabCoat/ION’s sole obligation under this Warranty is limited to replacement of the defective film material only, at LabCoat/ION’s discretion.

LabCoat/ION is not responsible for:

• Labor costs
• Installation costs
• Removal or reinstallation costs
• Transportation costs
• Vehicle downtime
• Incidental or consequential damages

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply in all cases.

14. No Modification of Warranty

This Warranty may not be modified, extended, or altered by any installation facility, dealer, distributor, or third party.

Any representations or promises made outside of this written policy are null and void.

15. Exclusive Warranty

This Warranty is the exclusive and sole warranty applicable to ION Paint Protection Film products.

All other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law.

16. Governing Law

This Warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which LabCoat is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
